On June 9 on Eco Osta Ltd. area was unveiled the first natural bacteria growing factory in Latvia. Hazardous industrial waste processing company Eco Osta with the support of European Regional Development Fund and Latvian scientists have introduced a unique biotechnological project to produce naturally occurring bacteria that will be used for water and soil purification and treatment from oil and other chemical products contamination. Project total cost is 449,000 lats, of which the European Union co-financing was 103,000 lats. The project realized in cooperation with the LU Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
